The Communist Party of Vietnam has a “golden history” that was built and developed during the revolutionary process. It expresses the infinite pride and gratitude of the People to the Party, of descendants to ancestors. It is of great significance to clearly identify the distorted claims, then have resolute and effective solutions to protect the Party, State and regime. The article introduces concepts and identifications as well as suggests some solutions to fight for and protect the Party’s history on social media today.

Abstract: The 13th Party Congress proposed "Innovating the contents and methods of communication and mobilization; effectively using mass media and social networks in a practical direction; strengthening national consensus and people's trust in the Party, State and the socialist regime"(1). With the desire to bring the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress into daily life, the article focuses on clarifying a number of related concepts, context, requirements, solutions and some recommendations to enhance the use of social networks in Vietnam’s political communication in the upcoming time.

Abstract: Social networking sites have easily become places where sharing and spreading news are at a faster rate than any other platforms, despite efforts to control from governments, international organizations, and technology firms. Spreading fake news and rumors about the COVID-19 pandemic not only hinders health organizations' anti-epidemic work but also causes social unrest and political conflicts, even life-threatening in many cases. Therefore the following important tasks are being concerned by countries: identifying fake news, methods of disseminating and spreading fake news through social media and search engines, public awareness trends in the process of acknowledging fake news, finding solutions and measures to reduce the harmful effects of fake news.
