Marxist–Leninist political economy in the digital age: core values and applicability in Vietnam today
Abstract: Marxist–Leninist political economy is a fundamental theoretical pillar of Marxism. This doctrine elucidates the dynamics of the capitalist economy and orients society toward a progressive and equitable path of development. With its profound system of categories and laws, the theory not only contributes to a correct understanding of the capitalist mode of production but also provides a theoretical foundation for building socialism. In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is profoundly transforming the structure of productive forces - where data, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms play a central role - the continued identification, development, and application of Marxist–Leninist political economy has become an urgent requirement. This serves as a basis for defending the ideological foundation and formulating sustainable development policies in the new era
