Abstract: Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) is a Party school as well as a national key university with the mission of conducting scientific research, training and fostering high-quality human resources in the fields of political theory, ideology - culture, Party building and State governance, journalism-communication and a number of other social sciences and humanities. Along with specialized subjects, political theory play an important role in the curriculum, contributing to equipping students with knowledge and skills of defending the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views. In recent years, AJC students have played an important role in the fight to protect the Party’s ideological foundation. To meet the requirements and tasks in the coming time, and to strengthen the students' ability in defending the Party ideological foundation, it is necessary to improve the quality of teaching political theory subjects.
