Abstract: Education and self-education are two parallel activities in shaping, directing individual thinking, and guiding actions. Even though self-education is individualistic and unique to each person, it requires guidance. With booming information sources on the internet, it is imperative to avoid being misled by conflicting and unscientific information. Therefore, equipping themselves with a theoretical foundation in political science is significant for not only individuals but also for society as a whole. To provide knowledge and build up the revolutionary ethical foundation as well as political theory for individuals, self-education consciousness needs to be guided and utilized appropriately. The article proposes some ways to help learners self-educate, to approach and express their understanding of political theory content, thereby contributing to strengthening the individual’s correct ideological foundation.
