Closely follow the principle of truthfulness and objectivity when online newspapers exercise the right of free expression

“Misinformation” is unacceptable in journalism but some media organizations still commit this mistake. May the journalists “forget” or “intend to forget” the ultimate principles of truthfulness and objectivity via the lens of politics, national culture and professional ethics? In the current context of fierce competition for information between mainstream media and social media, the journalists need to closely follow the principles of truthfulness and objectivity in order to produce the works, which meet the standards of the true, the good and the beautiful and exercise the right of free expression and maintain the public trust in journalism and the current democracy.

Abstract: Social media is an integral part of people’s lives, particularly among the young generation. When social media expands, it creates a “miniature society”, allowing businesses to develop their brands. Currently, organizations and businesses are in “hunger” for communication and content-creating employees. This demand is forecasted to skyrocket in the coming years. For journalism - communication training institutions, this presents both opportunities and obstacles.
