The Communist Party of Vietnam, since its birth (in 1930), has played a leading role in the national liberation movement in Vietnam and after the success of the August Revolution, became the ruling Party. President Ho Chi Minh is both the founder and the person who guides and trains the Party. Therefore, he paid due attention to the Party's leading and ruling methods so that the Party can fulfill its mission as the vanguard of the working class and the nation. In this article, the author hopes to clarify Ho Chi Minh’s Thought on the Party's leading and ruling methods to serve the goal of improving the leadership and ruling capacity of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as set out by the 13th Party Congress.

Abstract: Democracy is always a human aspiration and depends on the societal mechanisms, particularly the quality of the party leading and holding power, rather than the number of parties. Vietnam does not accept a multi-party and multi-political system. The Communist Party of Vietnam is the sole ruling party in the society and holds leadership and power. How to ensure democracy in a one-party regime is an important issue that requires solutions that are truly suitable for both theory and practice.

Abstract: During the leadership of the Vietnamese revolution (1930-1945), based on flexibly and creatively applying viewpoints of Communist International and Vietnamese reality, the Communist Party of Vietnam led the successful August Revolution in 1945, achieving independence for the people. The key to this victory was the Party's consistent pursuit of national independence and socialism, effectively addressing the tasks of anti-imperialism and anti-feudalism.

Abstract: Stemming from the role, position, and mission of leading class and nation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, pioneering is the first "attribute" of a genuine party member. The development requirements of our country's revolution today require the example and pioneering of each party member to become highly self-aware. In this article, on the basis of analyzing President Ho Chi Minh's views on the responsibility to set an example and the current situation of setting examples of current cadres and party members, the author proposes content and solutions to implement the problem. in order to bring the exemplary method into the Party's culture so that the Party will forever accompany and deserve to be the pioneering force leading the whole nation.

Abstract: The Party’s correct guidelines are significant factors determining all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. In the current context, hostile forces constantly find ways to distort and deny the Party’s leadership throughout history. Therefore, it is now urgent to strengthen educating the Party's guidelines for cadres, party members and people. It will contribute to consolidating their revolutionary viewpoints; improving their political will and revolutionary morality; providing them with methods and skills to identify and fight against wrong and hostile views.

It becomes a sharp weapon to fight against reactionary and hostile forces on all fronts, firmly defending the Party’s ideological foundation.
