02438348033 Learning from President Ho Chi Minh in Writing about Good Person with Good Action
President Ho Chi Minh once said that He had “predestined love with the press”. He wrote with the aim to serve the revolution in different historical periods and to serve the people. In His revolutionary life, He founded and cofounded several newspapers such as: Nguoi cung kho (1922), Quoc te Nong dan (1924), Thanh Nien (1925), Cong nong (1925), Linh Kach menh (1927), Viet Nam tien phong (1927), Than ai (1928), Do (1929), Viet Nam doc lap (1941), Cuu quoc (1942), etc. His ultimate goal with these newspapers and the articles that He wrote for other newspapers is to promote the revolution direction. He was also specially interested in writing about “good person with good action”. Learning President Ho Chi Minh’s view and example in writing about good person with good action is important in the current context of innovating and developing Vietnam revolutionary press.

Abstract: In the fight against corruption and negativity, the press and public opinion play a special role. It contributes to detecting and fighting against corruption and negative effects; reflecting, advising, suggesting and recommending to handle and supervise the implementation of functional agencies. It also propagates, encourages and mobilizes the strength of all people to participate in the fight against corruption, thereby building people's faith in the Party's leadership and the regime's superiority. The article focuses on clarifying the relationship and role of the press and public opinion in building people's trust as well as proposes solutions to promote this role in the current anti-corruption activities of our country.

However, in reality, the line between social criticism and professional ethics is quite fragile and unclear. By overviewing theories on supervision and constructive social criticism of the press, the article will analyze the ethical foundation for the press’s effectiveness in public opinion monitoring and social criticism today.

It contributes to detecting and fighting against cases, organizations and individuals who show signs of corruption and negativity. Also, it propagates and encourages the participation of the whole political system in the drastic struggle, mobilizing the strength of all people to participate in preventing and fighting against corruption and negativity. Analyzing and clarifying that role is of great significance, helping the Party, State, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people have the right guidelines and measures in awareness and action. It will also strongly promote the system of press agencies, helping to improve the effectiveness of the fight against corruption and negativity in our country today.
