Abstract: The theory about sustainable human development was deeply discussed by Ho Chi Minh. His ideas showed the dialectical relationship between the realization of social equality and sustainable human development. Ho Chi Minh pointed out that the most important foundation for sustainable human development is the development of human potential, creating equal chances in accessing resources delivered by economic growth. In addition, it is important to make sure that the development of current human beings does not harm the human beings in the future and the participation of people in society should be encouraged.

In this article, on the basis of clarifying the content of Ho Chi Minh's thought on children's rights and the reality of children's rights in Vietnam during the Doi Moi period, the author proposes a system of solutions to improve the quality of children's rights basing on Ho Chi Minh's thought.
