The Coverage of Party and State Leaders’ Activities in the Media
The coverage of activities by high-ranking leaders of the Party and State, including the Secretary General, President, Prime Minister and Chairperson of the National Assembly always accounts for a big proportion. This trend is justified by the news value in the media and also tailored to the task of political communication because the audience is specially interested in people in high power and the media is the effective tool of the Party and State in the ideological front. However, big coverage is not necessarily equivalent to the effectiveness in terms of meeting audience’s need and the requirements of political communication. This article takes on the management approach so as to increase the effectiveness of providing information about the activities by the Party and State leaders in the media in general and in the television in particular.

Abstract: Population policy is one of the key areas of national governance, directly influencing the country’s sustainable development. Amid rapid socioeconomic changes, nations including Vietnam must continuously adjust their population policies to align with new realities. However, one of the decisive factors for the success of such adjustments is policy communication. Through communication, the State not only provides accurate information about policy changes but also shapes public opinion, transforms perceptions, and fosters social consensus. Therefore, studying the role of policy communication in adjusting population policy in Vietnam is crucial for understanding how communication can effectively support the formulation and implementation of population policies.

Digital transformation in higher education: analysis of the current situation and solutions for applying AI in students’ learning activities at Academy of Journalism and Communication
Abstract: Today, digital transformation in higher education has become a strategic priority. However, due to varying conditions, students’ use of artificial intelligence (AI) mainly remains at a basic level of learning activities. At the same time, concerns have been raised about the risks of limiting independent thinking and fostering overreliance on technology. This article analyzes the current situation of using AI in students’ learning activities, based on a survey of 624 students at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, to propose optimal solutions. The results reveal the level of awareness and usage of AI in learning, as well as the benefits of its application. The paper also suggests specific measures to maximize AI’s advantages and promote responsible technology use, thereby advancing a learner-centered and holistic educational model.

Abstract: In the context of the rapid development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, journalism and communication have evolved beyond mere information dissemination to become a digital technology-driven industry deeply influenced by scientific and technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT). In response to this profound transformation, the application of modern technologies in the training and professional development of journalism and communication personnel in Vietnam has become an urgent and strategic requirement for the sustainable modernization of the national journalism sector. This article provides an overview of AI, Big Data, and IoT, analyzes and evaluates the current state of their application in journalism and communication training in Vietnam, and proposes feasible solutions to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training in the context of accelerated digital transformation.
