Abstract: Protecting the Party’s ideological foundation is one of the important tasks of Party building. During the past years, especially since the Politburo’s Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW dated 22nd October 2019 on "strengthening the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation" was issued, the Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) has always actively participated in this task. Based on the Party’s documents and the AJC’s practice, this article focuses on clarifying the viewpoints and suggesting some solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of protecting Party's ideological foundation at the AJC in the future.

Abstract: With its functions and tasks, the Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) plays a very important role in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views. Thanks to the initiative, positivity and creativity of its Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the staff, the dynamism and enthusiasm of the students, AJC has achieved positive results during the past time. However, this task at AJC still has limitations and inadequacies because of objective and subjective reasons, posing a number of problems that need practical solutions to improve its efficiency in the coming time.
