02438348033 Orientations and solutions to defend Party’s ideological foundation on Vietnam’s social media today
Abstract: With the advantage of high-speed information transmission and wide information coverage, the Internet and social media are becoming more necessary in human life, bringing substantial benefits for countries and people worldwide including Vietnam. However, due to cyberspace’s characteristics of openness, freedom, diversity and equality, the boundary between the physical and virtual world is often blurred. It has posed challenges in defending the Party's ideological foundation. Hostile and reactionary forces use social media for propaganda activities to distort and deny Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology. Therefore, it is an urgent requirement to strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fight against wrong and hostile viewpoints in cyberspace. The article proposes some orientations and solutions to enhance defending Party’s ideological foundation and to fight against wrong and hostile viewpoints on social media in Vietnam in the coming time.

Current situation of publishing key political books to build and protect the Party's ideological foundation
Abstract: Political books play an important role in disseminating, developing, and safeguarding Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought. They also convey the Party's viewpoints and directions as well as state policies and laws into life. In recent years, publishers have effectively developed and implemented annual publishing plans based on the guidance of the Central Committee to publish valuable books in coordination with Party agencies, government, research centers, training institutions, etc. They increase quantity, enhance quality, especially focus on key political books to build and protect the Party's ideological foundation. The article analyzes the current situation of publishing key political books based on data received from surveys at 5 units: National Political Truth Publishing House, Political Theory Publishing House, People's Army Publishing House, People's Public Security Publishing House, Information and Communication Publishing House.

Abstract: Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW (dated October 22, 2018) on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, combating and refuting wrong and hostile views in the new situation was issued 5 years ago by the Politburo. It has had a wide-ranging impact on the whole society and has made significant impressions. However, the international and regional situations have undergone complex developments; the country has witnessed significant political events while hostile forces continue to employ increasingly sophisticated and complex tactics of sabotage. This requires innovations in both content and form of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, combating and refuting wrong and hostile views to meet the requirements of the new situation.

Protecting the Party’s Ideological Foundation, Fighting to Refute the False and Hostile Views of the Vietnamese Young Intellectuals: Current Situation and Solutions
Abstract: Entering the era of the fourth industrial revolution, intellectuals have demonstrated their pivotal role in the development of many countries in the world, including Vietnam. Vietnamese young intellectuals are increasingly growing and affirming their indispensable position in the modern workforce. Being well-trained, being able to think independently, study, enrich and spread knowledge, as well as to live and work in a knowledge-based environment, most of Vietnamese young intellectuals can perceive and interpret political information (which related to the Party’s ideological foundation) in a propriate, correct, moderate, and profound way with intrinsic and professional vision. However, there is still a part of young intellectuals who are fluctuated in political stance and thus, have some inappropriate behaviors such as sharing information of hostile forces on social networks, being taken advantage of by forces to act against our social stability. Therefore, it is urgently necessary to study the current situation and to suggest some solutions to improve the Vietnamese young intellectuals’ behavior culture in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation and fighting against wrong and hostile views.
