Abstract: It is the responsibility of Vietnamese patriots, with pioneers as cadres, party members, the heads of party and government organizations, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to promote political theory education, research, apply and develop Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought to fight against wrong and hostile views. It will contribute to firmly defending the Party’s ideological foundation and the path to socialism in Vietnam. Political theory lecturers in the national education system play a very important role in this task.

Abstract: With its functions and tasks, the Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) plays a very important role in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views. Thanks to the initiative, positivity and creativity of its Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the staff, the dynamism and enthusiasm of the students, AJC has achieved positive results during the past time. However, this task at AJC still has limitations and inadequacies because of objective and subjective reasons, posing a number of problems that need practical solutions to improve its efficiency in the coming time.
