Innovating method of teaching political theory in higher education institutions in Vietnam
Political theory is an important component of higher education and an objective requirement to shape and develop the personality for students. The education of political theory has direct influence on the thinking, sentiment, morality and job performance of the students when they graduate. As regional and international politics is getting more complicated, the fight in ideological and theoretical field is getting fiercer and domestic and international hostile forces are trying to realize their peace evolution scheme. Therefore, it is an urgent task to educate political theory to students and to innovate the teaching method in the current context.

Communist Review - President Ho Chi Minh’s thought on "taking the people as the root” had paramount significance, serving as the guiding star for the Communist Party of Vietnam to lead the revolution. This mindset inherited and promoted Vietnam’s thousand-year-old history of national construction and defense and the Marxist-Leninist perspective on the role of the people in history. It should continue to be creatively applied to the cause of national construction and defense in the new period.

Abstract: During the development process, the philosophy has been shaped and developed, imbued with the guidelines and strategies for training and fostering cadres of the Party and State as well as in accordance with learners and specific conditions of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) throughout historical periods. The article gives an overview of the HCMA's philosophy of training and fostering in recent years. Moreover, it proposes some recommendations to thoroughly grasp this philosophy in HCMA training and fostering programs today.

Abstract: Developing and nurturing the personality of university students is a core issue in the comprehensive reform of education and training. Personality plays a significant role in the development of each student and the Vietnamese society as a whole, especially in nurturing high-quality resources during the Fourth Industrial Revolution and to successfully implement the renovation campaign initiated and led by our Party. This article focuses on two main issues: personality and the process of personality development, and the factors influencing the development of students' personalities.

Credit-based training method at higher education in Vietnam today
Abstract: (LLCT&TT) Credit-based training is a method of organizing training for each module, allowing students to accumulate credits of each module and implement a training program according to their individual studying plan in accordance with the plan of the training institution. For Vietnam, this is a new training method, replacing the previous year-based one. The Ministry of Education and Training officially required universities and colleges to switch to credit-based training from the 2009-2010 school year. After more than 10 years of implementation, the method has proved its superiority, efficiency and modernity compared to the year-based training method. However, the newness brings with it difficulties, challenges and limitations that need to be overcome. The article contributes to giving a more comprehensive view theoretically and practically in order to further improve the quality and effectiveness of credit-based training methods in higher education institutions in our country today.

Models of University Councils in the world and difficulties when applying in Vietnam
Abstract: Vietnam's higher education has been deeply integrating to better adapt to the rapid changes of the times. In that context, the policy of university autonomy issued by the Party and State is considered a top priority, in line with the development of the global education system. However, while the University Council is very popular in Western countries, the application of this model in Vietnam still faces many difficulties despite having specific regulations in the law. This article is aimed at identifying models of University Councils in some countries and pointing out the difficulties for universities in Vietnam when implementing this new governance model.
