On distance learning at the Academy of Journalism and Communication
The article discussed distance learning at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, analyzed and clarified fundamental contents about the definition, advantage and disadvantage of distance learning at the Academy of Journalism and Communication. On such foundation, it proposed solutions to promote distance learning at the Academy of Journalism and Communication to educate high quality human resources for national industrialization and modernization to be equivalent to the position of the key university in the national educational system.

Abstract: Digital transformation, artificial intelligence, social media, and datafication are reshaping the field of journalism and communication, creating urgent demands for journalism training institutions to innovate. Traditional training programs face challenges in adapting to technological change, anticipating industry shifts, and recruiting qualified lecturers. However, digital transformation also presents opportunities for innovation in storytelling, interaction, and content production. This article synthesizes models and experiences in journalism education from leading universities around the world to identify best practices and the core digital competencies that students need to acquire. The study’s findings are based on an analysis of curricula and industry trends at exemplary universities in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
