Training Frontline Reporters at the Academy of Journalism and Communication
In October 1969, under the direction of the Party Central Secretariat 3rd Tenure, the Central Commission of Political Communication instructed the Central School of Political Communication (now the Academy of Journalism and Communication) to open the first full-time program in journalism and publishing in Vietnam. Halfway through the program, 53 students participated in the training for frontline reporters, who then joined military newspapers in different battlefields and successfully completed their assignment. The soldier reporters of the first frontline reporter training demonstrated strong political foundation and gave a full report of the Party leadership, the State governance and the brave fight of the country in the resistance war against the US to liberate the South and unify the country in the path of innovation and for the cause of prosperous people, strong country, equal democratic and civilized society.
