02438348033 Mechanism for the Party to Lead the National Assembly – Theoretical Issues
The Party’s leadership to the National Assembly is a fundamental issue, which is regulated in the 2013 Constitution. The Party’s leadership to the National Assembly is the prerequisite condition and assurance for the National Assembly to continue the renovation and development. In the current context, the need to innovate the organization and enhance the quality of the National Assembly’s activities requires the adjustment of the Party’s leadership. The mechanism for the Party to lead the National Assembly needs to consider its unique characteristics, compared to other state organizations. The article analyses the theoretical issues about the content of the Party’s leadership to the National Assembly as the highest state authority and the mechanism for leading the National Assembly in implementing functions of deciding important matters of the country, supervising and developing laws.

Abstract: To successfully accomplish the task of “firmly defending the Party’s ideological foundation and effectively countering wrongful and hostile viewpoints,” a comprehensive system of solutions is required, of which a particularly crucial one is promoting the strength of the people. This article focuses on analyzing the role and immense power of the people- the decisive factor in the victory of every revolution, including today’s endeavor to defend the Party’s ideological foundation. It also examines the new historical context and the demands it places on defending the Party’s ideological foundation, thereby proposing solutions to further promote the people’s role and strength in the new situation.

Abstract: Through new insights into theoretical thinking that our Party has achieved in the renewal process, the article proposes some ideas about theoretical thinking by referring to the values of modern political theories, including: affirming the correctness and necessity of continuing the country's renewal process in the direction of socialism; perspectives and models of market-oriented socialist economic development; affirming the necessity of innovation and enhancing the role of the state; building new awareness of the social policy system and in Party building work; building and improving legal corridors towards transparency and openness; strengthening interaction between the Party, central and local governments with political and social organizations, social organizations to consolidate unity in the political system; promoting the role of public opinion and mass media in Vietnam.
